Commencement Participation Policy

Students may participate in commencement if all degree requirements are completed or will be completed at the end of the spring semester, including the cross cultural experience and the CAAP examination.  


With all other requirements met, a student may participate in commencement if no more than 6 credits remain uncompleted.

LAST DAY TO APPLY FOR GRADUATION is Friday, March 31, 2017

Clearance for Participation

If you have been cleared for participation by the Registrar's office, you will be allowed to participate in commencement activities. Traditional undergraduate students will be able to pick up academic regalia at Reunion Zero on Sunday, April 23, 2017. The last day to be cleared for participation is Wednesday, April 12, 2017.

Important Dates to Remember

Wednesday, April 5, 10:10 a.m.
Mandatory senior chapel meeting, NNU Little Theatre. You will be given event instructions.

Wednesday, April 12
Last day to clear for participation.

Sunday, April 23, 2:00 p.m.
Reunion Zero, Brandt Center Lobby

April 25 - May 4, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Regalia may be picked up at the Registrar's Office for students who are cleared.

Friday, May 5, 7:00 p.m.
Baccalaureate, Brandt Center, Swayne Auditorium
Line-up 6:15 p.m. in the Leah Peterson Learning Commons

Saturday, May 6, 8:30 a.m..
Final regalia pick up at the Johnson Sport Center Gymnasium.  You may keep your cap, tassel and honor cords.

Saturday, May 6, 9:30 a.m.
Commencement, JSC Gymnasium
Line-up at 8:45 a.m. in the field house (across the hall from the gymnasium). Wear cap, gown, hood and honor cords.  Robes and hoods will be returned to the field house.

Live streaming will be available for those that are not able to attend.
